ASEMBO BAY EXPERIMENTAL FARM PROJECT

In the Experimental Farm Project, we teach participants how to plant, farm, irrigate, etc.  We provide banana, papaya plants, sweet potatoes, and other food plants to vary the crops traditionally grown in the area which are maize and kale.  Farming can be done 12 months a year in the Kenyan climate.  Teaching people to vary their crops along with modern farming methods helps increase food supply and enrich diets.
In all our programs, we teach the groups how to manage their earnings through opening their own bank account, managing their income and expenses, etc.
